Congratulations to Last Week’s Feature Winners
No less than 43 cars entered the first OSR 360 Sprint Car race this past Friday night. 24 cars took the green flag in the main. Brad Spidle captured the win after Alan Joyal had led 24 of the 25 laps. Mason Crawford tried a slide job on the last lap, tapped the inside wall, and ended up sliding up into Joyal, ruining his night. We all learned a lot.
We also had a very good turnout for the 410 Sprint Car race with 21 cars taking the green flag in the main. Sonnie G. Tucker led all 25 laps and ended the night in victory lane.
Zachery Dresslaer dominated Sunday night’s Pro Late Model race, leading 25 of 30 laps on his way to victory.
Tristan Carman won the Super Late Model feature after bad luck took Chris Willard out of the top spot. Willard led 30 laps in the race.
In asphalt league action, the OSR Modifieds made their first trip to The Bullring. Jon Waters dominated, leading 57 laps on his way to winning the 60 lap race.
The Late Model Stocks followed the Modifieds at The Bullring. New league member Bryan Hacker led most of the race, including the last lap.
Coming Up
Wednesday, the SK Modifieds hit South Boston Speedway, one of the best, if not the best short track on the service. It’s a 60 lap night race for the Modifieds. The session gets under way at 8:30 pm.
The Late Models will be at another great short track: Lanier National Speedway. That’s a 75 lap afternoon race. That session gets started at 9:30 pm.
<rant>If you’re wondering why I skipped Five Flags Speedway on the Late Model schedule, let’s just say iRacing has some work to do on the physics for either the Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, the tire model, the grip at Five Flags, or all of the above. I won’t be making any more setups for that car/track combination and I won’t support racing there in any way until it’s fixed. I’m sure it won’t do any good, but it makes me feel better.</rant>
Coming up Friday night, it’s another big night of racing in the 360 Sprint Cars at USA International Speedway. iRacing has changed the fuel economy on the Sprint cars so we’ll see how many laps we can get. We’re currently set to run 25 laps. If I change the number of laps I’ll post it on the league schedule. The 360 session starts at 7:30 pm.
After the 360s, the 410 Sprint Cars tear up the track at USA International Speedway. If there is any change in laps, I’ll post it on the league schedule. The session starts at 9:00 pm.
Moving on to Sunday night, we’re running the Pro Late Models at 7:30 and the Super Late Models at 9:00 pm. We’re at USA International Speedway for those races. I’ll admit I’m not crazy about the track, but we all need to learn it.
All times are US eastern.
Here are the setups for each race.
