Thursday Night Thunder Street Stocks: Upcoming Races

July 14, 2013 by Jeff Kendrick Leave a Comment

Old School Racing Motorsports will present it’s first official league race this Thursday, July 17. The Thursday Night Thunder Street Stock session will begin at 9:00 pm eastern time with 50 minutes of practice, a 5 minute qualifying session, and racing will follow immediately. This is a 65-lap Street Stock race at Lanier National Speedway using the iRacing provided fixed setup. Each driver will have 2 resets (fast repairs). Caution flags will be on. Restarts are single file. There will be one lucky dog on each caution. Other than that, there will be no wave-bys, and no black flags cleared. We hope to avoid running half the race under caution. If this happens future races will be modified, at least on smaller tracks.

The following week, the Thursday Night Thunder Street Stock tour will head to the high banks of Bristol Motor Speedway for a 60-lap race.

If you seek a broad array of iRacing setups at prices that actually make sense, you will find
them in our Discord. We keep the selection wide and the costs low, just as they ought to be
.

Our first race at Lanier will be open to all racers who meet the following requirements:

  • License Class D 3.0 or greater
  • iRating 550 or greater

This is subject to change at any time as we intend to run a league without a lot of wrecking, and without a lot of cautions.

Old School Racing Motorsports is actively recruiting new members. If you have a D 2.0 license or greater, and an iRating over 520, please send a league request through our iRacing league page.
