[Obviously the cleaning lady at iRacing makes these schedules and she has something against bright lights at night. Seriously though, you have to wonder why. I speculate that it’s a graphics issue. Dirt is a load on older systems, and night racing adds more to that load. Just a wild guess. I can’t think of any other reason anybody would race anything but night on dirt with one late afternoon thrown in for good measure. People complained about all the afternoon races last season. I see nothing has changed. Just in case iRacing didn’t get the message: NOBODY WANTS TO RUN DAYTIME RACES ON DIRT, OR ON ANY SHORT TRACK FOR THAT MATTER. And here’s another thing. We ran the first two seasons of dirt on four different tracks. I think people are probably getting a little bit tired of those four tracks. Yet I look at this schedule and I see the only new track on there twice for the whole season. Here is more evidence that the cleaning lady is making these schedules. Let me get out my bullhorn again. HEY iRACING, WHY NOT RUN THE NEW TRACK YOU HAVE FOUR TIMES THIS SEASON AND RUN THOSE SAME OLD WORN OUT TRACKS TWICE EACH LIKE THIS GUY DID? No skin off my teeth. I don’t plan to run any official races anyway, but why continue to bore people when you have another option? If I didn’t know better, I would think that iRacing doesn’t want much participation on dirt.]
