There has been a demand for a national series for the Asphalt Super Late Model cars for quite some time. Patrons of the short tracks have been asking for it, and now, the STARS National Series will fulfill that request.
Logitech G923 Racing Wheel & Pedals
One of the most popular entry-to-mid level sim racing wheels available today. The G923 delivers strong TRUEFORCE feedback up to 1000 Hz that lets you feel the road with refreshing clarity, a responsive brake pedal with progressive spring, and a solid set of pedals built for consistent control. It includes a programmable dual-clutch launch system for cleaner starts, a genuine leather-wrapped wheel, and straightforward compatibility with PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

Bob Sargent, president of Track Enterprises confirmed today that STARS will form and sanction a national racing series for Asphalt Super Late Models in 2023. Track Enterprises is a racing promoter based in Illinois. The promotion has been making some noise this year, first acquiring the CRA sanctioning body in January, then purchasing the ARCA Midwest Tour in the month of July. STARS has now partnered with the Southern Super Series, setting the stage for a national tour in 2023.
“We’ve been working on this for more than a year,” said Sargent. “The opportunity to partner with the three most prominent regional tours this year has put us in a great place to launch a national tour.”
Next Level Racing Wheel Stand 2.0
Master your laps without dominating the room. The Next Level Racing Wheel Stand 2.0 stands rock-solid for direct-drive wheels, yet folds away in seconds when real life calls. Full adjustability for wheel, pedals, and shifter lets a man settle into his proper position the honest way. A clever chair cradle keeps your seat planted under hard braking, while predrilled mounts welcome Thrustmaster, Fanatec, Logitech, and the rest. Upgrade later to a full cockpit with the GTSeat add-on. Serious performance, sensible footprint—no compromises required.

The combination of the three sanctioning bodies/regional tours that Sargent referenced above will provide a solid base for a national tour. Customers will return to see the established racing events within each racing series.
Plans include a ten-race schedule of national events. Sargent continued. Sargent knows that in order for that plan to succeed, the regional tours will also need to be successful. STARS intends to strengthen and support those tours to the best of their ability.
If things go according to plan, each of the three regional tours will produce a ten to fifteen race schedule, similar to their schedules in previous years. Each regional tour will host a few (most likely three) National Series racing events. The tenth event in the National Series will be the championship race held as a part of the All American 400 weekend at the venerable Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on Sunday, November 5.
There will be a details meeting for drivers and car owners on Friday, October 28 during the running of the All American 400, this year. Race schedules, formats, and team registration will be hashed out at this meeting. Look for a STARS National Series schedule announcement soon.
