There’s really only one thing of interest in this mid-season iRacing patch: the ability for session admins to switch to a single file restart. I set my sessions up to always use single file restarts because double file restarts are stupid, but this is another option to use for those who like to choose the type of restart at the last minute.
The command works like this:
!restart single
or
!restart double
Since the command can only be used if you set your session up with double file restarts by default, there probably won’t be a lot of use for
!restart double
I suppose if you switch to single file restart then change your mind, you can use the command to go back to a double file restart.
As stated above, you can only use this command if you configure your session for double file restarts.

You can change the restart type before you get one to go. After the leader gets one to go, the restart type is locked and no change is allowed.
When a caution is thrown, race control will report to the admin what type of restart is upcoming.
You can also issue this command from the right-click popup menu.
This is a pretty good command, but it’s best to simply set your session to use single file restarts.
