Highlights From NASCAR Whelen Modified Race at Oswego Speedway

September 4, 2022 by Jeff Kendrick Leave a Comment

Consistency hasn’t been the strong point so far this season for Justin Bonsignore’s efforts in the Modified Division at Oswego Speedway, but Bonsignore held on for the win after a late caution.

If you seek a broad array of iRacing setups at prices that actually make sense, you will find
them in our Discord. We keep the selection wide and the costs low, just as they ought to be
.

Race leader Doug Coby pitted during the caution, giving Bosignore the lead. He fended off challenges from Craig Lutz, Chuck Hossfeld, and his own cousin, Kyle Bonsignore to win on older tires.

Coby had one of the fastest cars in the race, but his pit strategy just didn’t work out for him.

Bonsignore picked up a win earlier in the season at Richmond Raceway, but it was darkened by being sandwiched between two miserable finishes outside the top 20, one at New Smyrna Speedway and another at Riverhead Raceway.

Chuck Hossfeld also had a great race, carving his way through the field after the caution to climb all over Bonsignore’s back bumper. Hossfeld tried just about every move in the book to pass Bonsignore but had to settle for second. It was a clean race.
