iRacing has released the Season 2 schedule for this year with no major surprises. Some of the class schedules look pretty much like Season 1.
For the Legends, Lime Rock Park remains on the schedule in Week 8 as the only road course. The rest is the usual fare, including the Charlotte Legends Oval, Thompson, Oxford Plains, Lanier, South Boston, and USA International.
Logitech G920 Driving Force Racing Wheel & Pedals
This serves as a no-nonsense entry into realistic driving. Dual-motor force feedback delivers honest steering weight and road detail, while the sturdy floor pedals offer progressive braking and smooth throttle. Stainless steel paddle shifters, a leather-wrapped rim, and a full 900-degree rotation create a setup that earns its spot on your rig without needless extras. It works cleanly with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

The Late Model Series will once again visit Gateway in Week 10. Participation in Season 1 was pretty good at Gateway, so I’m sure iRacing will continue to cram it down our throats offer it on the schedule. All of the other tracks are pretty good except for Iowa Speedway. I’m sure the racing at Iowa is not bad, but I find this track pretentious, boring, and devoid of character. Give me New Smyrna, Stafford, Thompson, or USA any day.
Thrustmaster T300RS GT Steering Wheel & Pedal Set
The T300 is a proven mid-range wheel with smooth belt-driven force feedback and a responsive brushless motor for clear track feel. An 11-inch leather wheel, solid three-pedal GT set, and PS5, PS4, and PC compatibility give racers the precision to brake later, hold tighter lines, and improve lap after lap.

The SK Modified Series schedule looks good with true short tracks all the way, including South Boston, Martinsville, and New Smyrna. That’s a very good schedule. Too bad there are no cautions.
The Super Late Models will have the first week of the season off kick off the season at Gateway again. Hurrah. Other than that, it’s pure short track heaven with New Smyrna, South Boston, Martinsville, Stafford, and other great tracks on the schedule.
The lonely Tour Modified Series features a visit to the high banks of the Monster Mile, Dover International Speedway. I’m looking forward to that one in Week 2. I’ve already bought my extra stiff springs. 😀 For the lowlight of the season, I see Richmond in Week 9. Since this is the track from which Iowa was cloned, I don’t like it much either. They’re short tracks that try to pretend to be Super Speedways. They have no character. The rest of it looks pretty good, and the Tour Modified is a fast, stable car. Since it’s C class, there are cautions, and I like that. This class also features the longest races in the short track genre. I look forward to running 11 of the 12 weeks.
