I’ve had a few very good races on iRacing. Last night, we ran Late Models at New Smyrna. I had a pretty good lead until a caution about mid-race when a young fellow named Devin McLeod pitted and got his car loosened up a good deal. When I saw that black car coming up behind me, it put the fear of Earnhardt in me.
Logitech G920 Driving Force Racing Wheel & Pedals
This serves as a no-nonsense entry into realistic driving. Dual-motor force feedback delivers honest steering weight and road detail, while the sturdy floor pedals offer progressive braking and smooth throttle. Stainless steel paddle shifters, a leather-wrapped rim, and a full 900-degree rotation create a setup that earns its spot on your rig without needless extras. It works cleanly with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Well, he caught me but I put up a fight. He tried the high side. He tried the low side. We raced side by side for many, many laps. All this time, my car kept feeling looser. I guess that’s good in a way. Most of them get tighter, but I had this one balanced pretty well.
I finally slipped a little too much, though. Devin got a nose under me and pulled alongside and then ahead. He had me that time. I rode his bumper for the rest of the race with the exception of a couple of squirrely slips. We even got together once in turn 4. He was sideways but I bumped his left front and straightened him out.
Devin said his car was really tight, but he did hold on to win. In the last few laps I was quite a bit faster, but I couldn’t get around without bumping him again and I didn’t want to do that. It was a fine race.
Here’s how everybody finished:
- Devin McLeod
- Jeff Kendrick
- Stephen Raughton
- Chet Wheeler Jr.
- Jeremy Hathaway
- Thomas Posey
- Paul Kelley
- Eric Lambert
- Matthew Barkhouse
- Ralph Pellicer
- Kenny Hopper
