League News

This past weekend was an interesting experiment in open hosted league racing. It got a little rough at times but all in all it was fun. The Dirt Street Stocks in particular were a lot of fun.

This week all of the dirt series will return to private racing. The Dirt Street Stock and Pro Late Model leagues will run under league sessions, so keep that in mind. For the Street Stocks and Late Models, we will have a 30 minute practice session followed by a 30 minute race session. The grid will be set based on last week’s finishes with the top four inverted for this week. Each week, we will invert approximately half of the field from the previous week’s finish up to a maximum of ten cars.

For the asphalt series, we have two special races coming up this Friday night in the Myrtle Beach Speedway Summer Special. These races will both run in open hosted sessions under Tournaments. If we have enough cars we will have heat races and mains. First up will be the Modifieds for a 50-lapper, then the Late Model Stock Cars will also run 50 laps. The Late Model race will run 30 minutes late, starting at 10:00 pm eastern. These races will feature open setups. I would really appreciate a few league members joining Discord for these races. If you’re racing you can help me keep an eye out for disrespectful drivers. If you’re not racing but bored, maybe you could join us in Discord, spectate and help us out.
