OSR North South Shootout at Concord Speedway

OSR North South ShootoutThe (real life racing) North South Shootout was started by Charles Kepley. Charles was the epitome of a true race fan, and it was his dream to put together a major unsanctioned Modified race. His dream came true for the first time in 2003.

The North South Shootout has historically been held at Concord Speedway. In 2011, the race was moved to Caraway Speedway, but it never enjoyed the success and allure of the Concord races. The Shootout returned to Concord Speedway for 2015.

Old School Racing Motorsports is proud to present the sim version of the North South Shootout at Concord Speedway.

OSR @ Five Flags Speedway

OSR at Five Flags Speedway
The Old School Racing Motorsports League will once again offer something new and unique to the iRacing community next season. The league will race in four different divisions at a single track for the entire racing season (3 months). The track for the fall season will be the venerable Five Flags Speedway located in Pensacola, Florida.

The four divisions on the racing docket are:

  • Legends Cars – 20 laps
  • Street Stocks – 30 laps
  • Late Model Sportsmen – 40 laps
  • Super Late Models – 50 laps

There will be no qualifying sessions. The grid will be formed by inverting the finish from the previous week. The first week’s races will grid by iRating.

All races will be held on Sunday nights beginning at 8:00 pm eastern time. There will be brief breaks between races so nobody feels rushed. The OSR Fall Season will begin on Sunday, October 4.

We will be testing the format throughout the month of September in open hosted and league only hosted races. These races will be announced through the iRacing League communication system by email and private message. To receive the announcements visit our iRacing League page at http://members.iracing.com/membersite/member/LeagueView.do?league=597 and click the ‘Apply to this League’ button.

We will continue to run open setups in all divisions. As most of you probably know, Old School Racing provides fresh iRacing setups for all of these cars on our website at https://osracing.net.

If you’d like to join a friendly league that features clean, competitive racing, visit our iRacing League page at http://members.iracing.com/membersite/member/LeagueView.do?league=597 and click the ‘Apply to this League’ button.
