From iRacing Staff:
USAC and iRacing will have an official announcement in the coming weeks but we needed to let the cat out of the bag as this is time sensitive. iRacers will need to qualify into this series.
Starting Monday night June 25 and running every two hours, the regular USAC 410 Non-Winged Series will act as the qualifying series for the 2019 USAC World Championship. This series will runs for 9 weeks ending Monday August 26 . It will allow two drop weeks. The top 35 in overall points will be invited to participate in the inaugural USAC World Championship (details to follow).
The 2019 USAC World Championship will begin on Wednesday, September 11 at 9pm. It will consist of nine races, one every Wednesday night for nine weeks, ending on November 6. This series will not have any drop weeks. The details for this series have not yet been finalized and are to be determined.
Many of the details for the World Championship series are still being discussed and are yet to be decided. However, according to USAC officials, it will pay at least $10,000 to the Series Champion.
Once all of the details are finalized, there will be an official publicized announcement with a more formal detail of prizes, sponsors, schedules, etc.
This is all that has been authorized for release at the moment. Hopefully this gives iRacing Non-Winged Sprint Car Racers a couple of weeks to get your Dirt 410 Wingless Sprint chops up!
Qualifying begins on June 25.
Good Luck to All.
